Linda Kenworthy
Account Director Strategist - Intel
Intel plans to invest over $28 billion to build two advanced chip factories in Ohio, aiming to boost semiconductor production, support innovative Intel products, and cater to foundry customers. The "mega-site," located on nearly 1,000 acres in New Albany, Licking County, near Columbus, can house up to eight chip factories, along with supporting operations and ecosystem partners.
Announced in January 2022, this project represents the largest single private sector investment in Ohio's history. It is projected to create 3,000 direct Intel jobs, generate $405 million in annual payroll, and involve more than $20 billion in fixed asset investment by December 31, 2028.
